Professional Training Opportunities

The Triple P training course you choose depends upon your professional setting and how you work with families:

Level 2-3 is best for you if you meet with parents briefly (15-20 minutes per visit).

Level 4 Standard is for you if you have experience providing parent training and can see families for up to 1 hour per visit.

Pracitioners who meet with groups of parents for up to 2 hours at a time should complete Level 4 Group.

Level 5 training is reserved for those practitioners who have successfully completed Level 4 Standard.

Each course is comprised of either two or three training days and then an accreditation day, which takes place approximately 6 weeks after the training days. To ensure quality, the maximum enrollment for training is 22 participants and the maximum enrollment for accreditation is 11 participants. Each training day is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The Triple P Model of
Parenting and Family Support

The Triple P model draws on social learning, cognitive behavioral and developmental theory, as well as research into risk and protective factors associated with the development of social and behavioral problems in children. The program's multi-level framework aims to tailor information, advice and professional support to the needs of individual families.
